DPI (dots per inch) is a way to describe how much detail an image has at a given print size. Higher effective DPI generally means sharper prints.
Effective DPI is basically: pixels divided by inches. If your design is 3600px wide and you print it at 12 inches wide, the effective DPI is 300.
